AN INVITATION
Wakefield Concert Society is the main standard-bearer for live classical music in Wakefield. To experience the thrill of listening to our professional guest musicians playing approachable music, we invite you to join our regular audience at the 2018/19 season’s public concerts . By demonstrating support you will help to keep alive the fine tradition of these concerts which do so much to develop and enhance Wakefield’s cultural image.
The question of funding continues to be a very difficult issue and the Society has not received any external funding for a number of years. This means it is quite a task to try and maintain our high standards but we always endeavour to get the best possible performers within our means. In light of this we are extremely grateful to our Patrons and members and everyone who supports the Concert Society and gratefully acknowledge all donations which can be made under the Gift Aid scheme if desired. We are also grateful for support from Catteralls Solicitors of Wakefield, Rickaro Books of Horbury and Cranney Carpets of Horbury.
All our concerts are held in the Jubilee Hall, Wakefield Girls High School, Margaret Street, Wakefield, on Saturday evenings at 7.30 p.m.
